Commission on Ministry

The Commission on Ministry engages in research and discussion on the calling to Christian ministry and ways in which this vocation can be effectively discharged by Baptists in contemporary society. The Commission investigates the ways in which oversight is exercised in Baptist churches at the local, regional and universal levels. It makes its insights available to the wider Baptist family.

BICTE VIII
The 8th Baptist International Conference on Theological Education (BICTE) takes place in Ocho Rios, Jamaica, from June 28-30, 2013. The event will focus on the theme, In Step with the Spirit: Perspectives on Pneumatology within The Worldwide Baptist Family. It will include a wide ranging set of papers and discussions from Baptist leaders, pastors, theologians, and educators from all six regions of the BWA – Africa, Asia Pacific, Caribbean, Europe, Latin America and North America.

Annual Gathering 2013
Commission chairs will be contacting their commissions shortly to begin planning for the upcoming Annual Gathering in Ocho Rios, Jamaica from July 1-6, 2013; focusing on the theme of In Step with the Spirit: Liberation.
